About paying

Do I have to pay to publish a website?

No. Building a site and putting it online is free, and it stays online at its yourname.web.portalora.com address for as long as you want it there. Plus is for when you would rather have your own domain name on it.

Is it €4.75 per site or per account?

Per site. If you have one site you want on your own domain and two you are happy to leave on their free addresses, you pay €4.75 a month, once.

What does “three changes a day” mean?

On a free site you can ask for three changes a day — enough to keep opening hours or a price list right, and enough to try something and then think better of it. Each one frees up again twenty-four hours after you asked for it, rather than everything resetting at midnight. On Plus you can keep asking until the page says exactly what you meant, the same afternoon.

Can I put photos on a free site?

Uploading your own pictures is part of Plus. A free site is still a proper website — built around your words, your colours and your layout — but the photos of your shop, your work or your team come with the upgrade, up to 10 MB of them.

What happens if I stop paying?

Nothing is deleted. The site carries on at its free address with the free allowances; your own domain simply stops being served, and you can put it back by upgrading again.

Can I try it before deciding?

That is the idea. Make the site, look at it on a real address, show it to someone. Upgrade only once you are sure it is the one.
