Good to know
Do I need to know anything technical?
No. There is nothing to install and no code to look at. You answer a few questions, and afterwards you ask for changes in ordinary sentences — like sending a note to a designer.

Where is my website stored?
On servers in Denmark, inside the European Union, and the backups stay in the EU too. We are an EU company under the GDPR: the Privacy Policy lists exactly what we hold, why, and every company that touches it.
What kind of websites can I make?
Anything that presents you or your business beautifully: a shop or café page, a tradesperson’s site, a portfolio, an event or wedding page, a personal site. Things like webshops with checkouts or customer logins aren’t what Portalora makes.
Can I use a domain name I already own?
Yes. Add it in your dashboard and follow the two-line instruction for your domain provider. Once it’s connected, the secure padlock is set up for you automatically. One domain per site, and your free address keeps working alongside it.
What if I ask for a change and don’t like it?
You have an hour to put the previous version straight back, with one click and at no cost. After that, just describe what you’d rather have — your earlier versions are kept, so nothing is ever a one-way door.
What happens to my site if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. The site carries on at its free yourname.web.portalora.com address with the free allowances; only your own domain stops being served, and upgrading again puts it back.
